ZAP Electric Car to be featured on Discovery Channel Tonight

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (March 10, 2003) - ZAP (OTCBB: ZAPZ) announced today that the Discovery Channel will be airing a special on its Daily Planet science channel at 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The special features ZAP's Light Utility Vehicle, or LUV, as well as its new lithium ion battery. LAS VEGAS, NV (January 20, 2003) – Technology lifestyle channel TechTV announced that the new ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) Light Utility Vehicle was selected as a finalist for the ‘Best of CES’ in the Auto, Marine & RV category. TechTV’s ‘Best of CES’ awards recognize innovations in new consumer technology products that debuted at the 2003 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show). A TechTV appointed panel of product evaluators selected winners in each category according to their innovative appeal, usability, usefulness, and affordability. In addition to the 10 category winners, a single product was honored as Best of Show.

New ZAP Battery Triples Charge of Electronic Cars

ZAP Signs Electric Car Agreement

ZAP Subsidiary Voltage Vehicles Increases Offer for Ford's Think Electric Car Program

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (November 7, 2002) - Publicly owned electric vehicle maker ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Voltage Vehicles, has increased its offer to acquire Ford's Think electric vehicle assets to $13 million in cash, stock, and/or warrants. ZAP's offer would be for all of Ford's electric vehicle (EV) assets including the Think City electric car. This offer initiated by ZAP shareholders at its shareholder meeting on October 26, 2002 follows news reports that Ford has shut down the Ford Think electric vehicle project. According to published reports, Ford has sold 3,000 Think Neighbor vehicles and 1,050 Think City vehicles.

GEM Steps Up Marketing Programs in California

ZAP Announces Electric Car Rental Program

SEBASTOPOL, California (July 15, 2002) -Working in conjunction with Global Electric Motorcars, LLC, a DaimlerChrysler Company, ZAP (OTCBB: ZAPZ) announced today it will be renting neighborhood electric vehicles throughout California. ZAP will be soliciting rental agencies and other locations for the program. Neighborhood electric cars are a new category of 25 MPH automobiles designed for short trips in urban areas, planned communities, commercial zones or tourist districts. The smaller, low-speed electric cars are a new alternative in places concerned with air and noise pollution, high fuel prices, traffic congestion or parking shortages.
