Volvo Officially Announces Swedish Plug-in Hybrid Development Program

The Volvo ReCharge concept is another plug-in hybrid race among the major manufacturers. 60+ miles of EV range sounds nice but it seems Volvo isn't totally ready or committed to bringing this vehicle to the public or the street. What do you think?

It is a good thing when the major auto manufacturers get into hybrids race, because this is an indication that even the top auto companies cannot afford to ignore the general requirement of the consumer for lower emissions, lower running costs and cleaner air. It is a pity though, if Volvo is not ready or willing to do what it has to, to get its hybrid vehicle out there.
