Large Format Lithium Battery Arrays for Electric Pickups, Vans, Alias Roadster and Others Planned
SANTA ROSA, California (July 28, 2009) – Electric transportation pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP) has taken delivery of larger-format polymer lithium-ion battery-equipped vehicles from Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABAT). The company also plans to begin integrating other large-format lithium-ion batteries in its popular electric vehicles that are already in production as well as those under development.

SANTA ROSA, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 18, 2008 -- Randall S. Waldman and Larry Cottingham of Integrity Manufacturing LLC are in Santa Rosa, California today for meetings with the management of electric vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB - News).
Integrity Manufacturing has been working with the State of Kentucky to help provide incentives to attract more manufacturing and assembly to the state. On Friday The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority gave preliminary approval for $68 million in state incentives for a large-scale manufacturing initiative with Integrity. The project is expected to bring economic development, new factory production and up to 2,500 jobs to Kentucky.

When Beijing won the privilege of hosting the 2008 Olympic Games, seven years ago, the Chinese capital promised to improve its air quality, but as the Olympics now are in full swing and air quality has been a visibly controversial issue, ZAP asks if anyone realizes there is an electric car factory just outside of Beijing building hundreds of zero-emission electric vehicles for export by ZAP to the United States?

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (November 27, 2002) - Electric transportation developer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) today issued praise for a new law that would reduce the regulatory burdens on electric bicycles.
According to legislative reports, the United States Senate has approved H.R. 727 and President Bush has signed it into law. The bill, introduced by Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala, Florida), passed the house in 2001. Currently, low-speed electric bikes are regulated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which subjects these bicycles to the same standards as motor vehicles.
