Electric Car Pioneer ZAP Charged Up by California Governor's State of the State Address

California Automaker Delivering Production Electric Cars and Trucks

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--California automotive manufacturer ZAP (OTCBB:ZAAP) issued praise for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's State of the State Address in which he ordered a 10 percent reduction in motor vehicle emissions of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide.

Among the many reforms proposed by the California Governor, Schwarzenegger calls for a new generation of alternative fuels, including an order to add more electric and ethanol powered vehicles to the state's fleet.

LAS VEGAS, NV--Jan 8, 2007 -- ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB), a leader in renewable energy innovation, announced today that it has struck a deal with Victory Multimedia for distribution services of its new Recharge-It-All battery line for mobile electronic devices and laptop computers. These new products power and charge cell phones, smart phones, digital cameras, MP3/iPods, portable games and more.

ZAP is introducing Portable Energy for Laptops in conjunction with Victory Multimedia at the 2007 International CES in Las Vegas. Victory will provide entry into large distribution customers like Ingram Micro. ZAP expects its renewable energy line to be available in the Ingram Micro channel from Victory Multimedia in early January.
