CHICAGO, Feb. 6 -- Horsepower is usually the hot topic at the Chicago Auto Show, but get ready for this: 'zebra-power.' An innovative electric car called the XEBRA from California automotive pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP - News) debuts this week at the 99th annual Chicago Auto Show, booth number NH20A. The show runs February 9 - 18 at McCormick Place ( http://www.chicagoautoshow.com).

AUSTIN, Texas (January 24, 2007) -- Automotive pioneer ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP) announced today that its dealership for the XEBRA electric sedan and truck in Austin, Texas, Shock Value, is officially open for business following regulatory approval from the State of Texas.
Shock Value owner John Martin had the idea for a dealership in his search to buy an electric car.
Shock Value owner John Martin has received a dealer license with the State of Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to sell electric cars. After several months of waiting for the license, Martin says he is grateful for the dealer license enabling him to move forward with selling the ZAP XEBRAs. He says it has been getting overwhelming interest from potential buyers and green car enthusiastic people.

California Automaker Delivering Production Electric Cars and Trucks
SACRAMENTO, Calif.--California automotive manufacturer ZAP (OTCBB:ZAAP) issued praise for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's State of the State Address in which he ordered a 10 percent reduction in motor vehicle emissions of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide.
Among the many reforms proposed by the California Governor, Schwarzenegger calls for a new generation of alternative fuels, including an order to add more electric and ethanol powered vehicles to the state's fleet.
