'Get ZAPPED' at New ZAP Store in Downtown Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (November 27, 2002) - Northern California's electric vehicle pioneer is hoping to 'ZAP' shoppers in downtown Santa Rosa with its new ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) Store.

Based in nearby Sebastopol, California, ZAP helped pioneer the market for electric bicycles and scooters. ZAP has expanded its product line in 2002 and is now showcasing a number of new products at the ZAP Store, including new electric bicycle and scooter designs, electric motorbikes, water scooters, hovercrafts, dune buggies, mobility devices, full-size automobiles and more.
"Part of ZAP's mission is to educate consumers and the more electric vehicle stores out there the more the world will realize that the technology is not just a dream, but a reality," says ZAP CEO Steve Schneider. "So far sales have been unbelievable. Visitors to the ZAP Store are definitely going to 'Get Zapped'-as we like to say-they can see and try electric transportation technologies from all over the world."
"Getting zapped" is a term used often around the office, says Schneider, who used the word several times in conversation. He says that employees and customers alike use the term "Getting zapped" to describe the reaction that people have when they try an electric vehicle for the first time. "It's almost like a light bulb goes on above their head. Not only do they fall in love with electric transportation, they want to use it every day."
ZAP is showcasing several new products, including electric SeaScooters, bicycles, scooters, cars, toys and other items like battery-free flashlights and remote control hovercraft. By operating a ZAP Store in Santa Rosa, Schneider believes entrepreneurs and independent auto dealers in other communities would want to open their own ZAP Stores. He noted that the new ZAP Store is offering one of the most complete lines of alternative transportation in the world.
The new ZAP Store is located in downtown Santa Rosa across the street from the Santa Rosa Plaza. The address is 300 B Street on the corner of B Street and 4th Street.
