ZAP Acquires Prominent Electric Car Rental Fleet

SANTA ROSA, California (September 10, 2003) - Advanced transportation company ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that it has acquired the most visible electric car rental fleet of its kind in the world. ZAP plans to rent the fleet of electric rental cars at various locations, featuring two locations on the main Casino strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. CEO Steve Schneider says that ZAP's Marketing Plan emphasizes rentals because customers will have an opportunity to try ZAP's new vehicles as they are introduced.

ZAP's New Rental Fleet features two rental locations on the Las Vegas strip.

"ZAP will be putting its new ZAP L.U.V.™-line of products into our new rental locations to attract more customers, an important reason why we are seeking out these prominent rental outlets," said Schneider. "Now business travelers and tourists from around the world have an opportunity to evaluate ZAP vehicles for their daily transportation. Public demand for our products is growing and ZAP will be expanding its rental fleet to include our ZAPPY® scooters, SEASCOOTERS™ and other ZAP products." Earlier this year, ZAP unveiled plans at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas to introduce an array of electric vehicles for transportation and commercial applications. ZAP's popularity at the international show prompted the Company to expand its operations into rentals of its products. ZAP market research indicates that with 35 million visitors per year, Las Vegas is a premiere hub for international business and recreation. ZAP plans to make a permanent high profile presence in Las Vegas.
