ZAP Displays Next-Generation, Fuel-Efficient SMARTCARS at Santa Rosa Boat, RV and Sport Show

ZAP Offers Hands-on Demonstrations of Unique SMARTCAR Micro-coupe to Environmentally Conscious Consumers

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--April 8, 2005--ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP- News), pioneering the next generation of advanced transportation and energy technologies, will be displaying several models of its high-efficiency SMARTCAR vehicles at the Santa Rosa Boat, RV and Sport Show, an annual tribute to the latest recreational vehicles and sporting equipment, to be held at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Calif., April 8-10.

The Santa Rosa Boat, RV and Sport Show will feature over 30 boat, RV and motorcycle dealers during the three-day event. Attendees to the show will be able to experience and inspect the Smart Car, a next-generation micro-car that is one of the most gasoline-efficient vehicles manufactured. ZAP owns the license and proprietary technology to Americanize the Smart Car to meet U.S. emissions and safety regulations.

ZAP recently announced that dealer purchase orders for the Smart Car have recently climbed to more than $431 million. "The rising costs of oil and fuel across the country are driving American consumers to purchase vehicles that not only meet their comfort, lifestyle and transportation needs, but also help to control their personal fuel costs," said ZAP CEO Steve Schneider.

The Smart Car will be showcased along with Zap's other environmentally responsible vehicles, including its all-electric sport and automotive vehicles.
