While electric cars have grown in popularity in recent years, without dealer financing consumers must pay cash or seek their own financing. Now, through a strategic lending partner, ZAP dealers can offer a variety of financing options, depending on the buyer's credit. Only licensed ZAP dealers can offer this vehicle financing.

"There is a large population of automotive dealers that are looking for the opportunity to become new car dealers and we understand their needs," says ZAP CEO Steve Schneider, who worked in the field for nearly 20 years. "We are doing everything possible to give ZAP dealers an edge over their competition. Benefits like financing will help our dealers achieve their financial goals, while giving consumers the opportunity to purchase electric cars. It's a win-win situation."

ZAP has been working to build a nationwide distribution network for cleaner car technologies, including battery-electric cars. The Northern California Company is building alliances with a number of vehicle manufacturers and automotive service providers to support its dealers with more products and services. Recently, ZAP announced that its electric cars come with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

In the past ZAP helped pioneer the market for electric bicycles, scooters and motorbikes, but has added electric cars to its catalog in recent years. The public company is attending automotive dealer events around the country to recruit auto dealers into its network. ZAP will be in Las Vegas January 31-February 3 for the National Automotive Dealer Association convention and in Indianapolis February 12-14 for the Powersports Dealer Expo.
