ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP) Electric Car CEO Steve Schneider in Europe for Automotive Talks

SANTA ROSA, California (March 13, 2007) – Steve Schneider, CEO for California electric car pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP), is traveling in Europe this week talking to various automotive manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and other groups. This is the second visit to Europe in the past six months to further discussions with a number of different automotive companies. Last month, ZAP announced plans with the UK's Lotus Engineering on a venture to produce a high performance electric car design in a compact SUV, or crossover, configuration. A 25-year veteran of the auto industry, Schneider recently talked about his motivation in a Podcast interview with Popular Science Magazine online, "Episode 35: Electric Cars." “I am not a tree hugger per say, but I can honestly say that I am a conservationist," said Schneider. "I truly believe in conserving the planet’s resources; waste is a terrible thing and it is not necessary. Participating with these vehicles, the use of these vehicles really does help conserve the planet’s resources.” Schneider's interview with Popular Science is now online at http://www.popsci.com.
