Bush Acknowledges Weakness in US Economy AND Prices at the Gas Pump

The president spoke as evidence of an ailing economy piled up. The dollar fell, oil and gold hit record highs, the economy is shedding jobs, retail sales saw a big drop and the effects of a severe credit squeeze linger. Gas prices affect everything

The thing is that when gas prices go up so do the costs of manufactured goods and produce. Everything has to be transported to shops and markets so that people have access to it and it is because of the added transportation costs that the cost of any item is further increased. Bush/economy

Buzzymuzzwelle Please understand I rate 1 thru 10. Rarely do I go above 3 even for myself. It's not that I'm negative. I just have standards that are high. We have had a bloody good run. 52 positive good months in spite of those who tried to undermine the greatness of our nation, day in and day out. As the father of a Marine I got to meet first hand what our strongest strength is. People. Just plain good people. Hard working and decent. The future is in their hands. They deserve our best effort. Imagine a car or SUV that Mom plugs in at night then drives the kids to soccer or basketball! I'm not a global whiner but I am a environmentalist. The world can shake us off this planet like dandruff but for the sake of God. I don't need governments telling me how to live my life. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. Electric cars are the future, not because of mandates or [uggh] taxes or fines. Because they are 21st century's next invention to make our lives easier, pleasant. No more smelly gas pumps! simple, convenient, clean. Doom and Gloom does not sell! Guilt does not sell! Happiness, a better life, a bluer sky, that sells. America is about winners not whiners. You sell that electric cars are what winners drive and you will be the future. God Bless, Buzzy.
