* Suppress plant diseases and pests.
* Reduce or eliminate the need for chemical fertilizers.
* Promote higher yields of agricultural crops.
* Facilitate reforestation, wetlands restoration, and habitat revitalization efforts by amending contaminated, compacted, and marginal soils.
Cost-effectively remediate soils contaminated by hazardous waste.
* Remove solids, oil, grease, and heavy metals from stormwater runoff.
* Capture and destroy 99.6 percent of industrial volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) in contaminated air.
* Provide cost savings of at least 50 percent over conventional soil, water, and air pollution remediation technologies, where applicable.

Global Warming? It's Natural the Experts Say!
Global warming is a natural event and the effects are not all bad, two respected researchers claimed yesterday.
Authors Dennis Avery and Fred Singer looked at the work of more than 500 scientists and argue that these experts are doubtful the phenomenon is caused by man-made greenhouse gases.
Climate change is much more likely to be part of a cycle of warming and cooling that has happened regularly every 1,500 years for the last million years, they say.
And the doom and gloom merchants, who point to the threat to the polar bear from the melting North Pole, are wrong, the authors say.

One More Tip to Save You Money at the Gas Pump!
Okay, one more gas saving tip today might be a good idea.
With gas prices at $4 bucks a gallon - and you can expect prices to shoot up even higher during summer - it's likely you'll be spending a lot at the gas pump in 2008!
Here's one more tip to save money:
When stuck in traffic, you’re getting zero miles per gallon. Zip. Nero. Nada.
If you know you aren't going anywhere for awhile, do yourself and your car a favor and shut the engine off.
This is how hybrid cars get good mileage ... the engine shuts off when stopped and an electric motor gets the car rolling again.
The gas engine then kicks in at a pre-determined speed. Hybrid technology is definitely efficient.
