Detroit Electric "100 Years in the Making"

Steve-Schneider-Albert-Lam-.jpg

Detroit Electric was an American icon in the early part of the 1900s. The brand represented the most popular electric car in history and the longest running electric car company, which operated between 1907 and 1939 by the Anderson Electric Car Company in Detroit Michigan.

At the time, the car was very popular, with customers like Thomas Edison, Charles Proteus Steinmetz, Henry Ford's Wife Clara, and John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Detroit Electric is a name that we believe will speak to generations about the past and the future of automobiles.

We are proud to have a chance to re-build this great car name after 100 years. The Company is finalizing plans to build an array of cars, trucks and buses with the latest automotive technologies.

GM Says It Will Put Lithium-Ion Batteries in Hybrid Vehicles in 2010

GM says it expects to bring its first lithium-ion battery powered hybrid engine system to market in North America in 2010.

The world's largest automaker by sales was to announce the hybrid system Tuesday at the Geneva International Motor Show, saying the new battery will deliver three times the power of GM's current nickel-metal-hydride batteries.

Automakers and battery companies across the globe have been racing to develop lithium-ion technology, seen by many as the key to mass producing hybrid vehicles powered by conventional and electric motors. The batteries also are essential in producing the next generation of electric cars.

Gas Saving Products: Scam or Do They Really Work?

There are a number of gas saving products on the market that claim to improve gas mileage. Some remove carbon deposits in your engine for more efficient combustion. Others maximize the atomization of fuel for better combustion.

Some say it's a big scam ... others say it works. A friend of mine who lives in Vegas tried it out and said it was the biggest rip off and waste of money. Then again, maybe you'll have a different experience.

Here's a list of gas saving products that are supposed to save you money at the gas pump.
