Zap Planting 1 Million Trees by 2010 - Before & After Pics

ZAP is creating a major campaign to plant 1 million trees by 2010. ZAP Chairman Gary Starr says the collaboration can go a long way towards restoring a balance with nature. We would like to utilize Trees for the future to help in our endeavor. Trees for the Future have identified fast growing tees that can grow as much as 24 feet in a year. Popular Science Puts Santa Rosa, California on Green City List

Magazine ranks Santa Rosa as 23rd greenest, largely due to Geysers electricity project By MIKE McCOY THE PRESS DEMOCRAT March 17, 2008 You'd hardly venture a guess that Santa Rosa would be prominently mentioned in Popular Science magazine, or even mentioned at all. But there it is, on page 56 of the March issue, listed as the 23rd "greenest" city among the 254 U.S. cities with populations exceeding 100,000. Santa Rosa, the nation's 154th most populous city, is ranked just behind Milwaukee, Wis. and one spot ahead of Ann Arbor, Mich. among the most environmentally friendly cities.
