AUSTIN, Texas (January 24, 2007) -- Automotive pioneer ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP) announced today that its dealership for the XEBRA electric sedan and truck in Austin, Texas, Shock Value, is officially open for business following regulatory approval from the State of Texas. Shock Value owner John Martin had the idea for a dealership in his search to buy an electric car. Shock Value owner John Martin has received a dealer license with the State of Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to sell electric cars. After several months of waiting for the license, Martin says he is grateful for the dealer license enabling him to move forward with selling the ZAP XEBRAs. He says it has been getting overwhelming interest from potential buyers and green car enthusiastic people.
