ZAP Announces First Shipment and Sale of US-Legal Smart Cars to Dealership in Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--March 31, 2006--Automotive pioneer ZAP (PCX:ZP; NYSE Arca:ZP) announced today that Robert Sharon, a school teacher from Wellington, Florida, has taken delivery of the first US approved Smart Car in the State of Florida through ZAP's authorized dealership in West Palm Beach.
