CNN -- Christmas Eve is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. As many last-minute shoppers scramble to the stores, some people are opting for a more "colorful" choice this holiday season. They're buying green gifts.

The world's chief climate scientist, speaking at two-week international climate conference in Buenos Aires in December 2004, disputed the U.S. government contention that cutbacks in carbon dioxide emissions are not yet warranted to check global warming.

ZAP's Smart Car tops $27,000 on eBay before delay

SANTA ROSA, California (December 17, 2004) - ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP), the California Company working to sell legal U.S. imports of the Smart Car from Europe, announced today that eBay suspended the auction on Wednesday morning December 15 at around 8:30 AM Pacific Standard Time.

Bidding rose to over $27,000 for the Smart Car Americanized by ZAP within hours of its listing on eBay.

Anuvu says order for PEM fuel cells largest transaction in history

SACRAMENTO, SANTA ROSA, California (December 15, 2004) - Automotive technology pioneer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that it has signed a purchase order with Anuvu Incorporated of Sacramento, California for its patented Power-X™ hydrogen fuel cell engine systems.

According to Anuvu, ZAP's purchase order for the Power-X™ PEM fuel cell engine is the largest in history.

"I believe that this is the largest order ever for PEM fuel cell engines," said Anuvu National Sales Director Craig Newhouse, PhD. "We look forward to working with ZAP to make reasonably priced zero emission fuel cell powered vehicles available for both consumers and fleet buyers."
