SANTA ROSA, Calif., May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Advanced technology vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTC Bulletin Board: ZAPZ - News) unveiled a new website today at http://www.zapworld.com, featuring a new look for the Company, easier navigation, and an improved online shopping system.

ZAP's new website features the Company's latest vehicles, including the 60-MPG SMART car that ZAP will be offering through its new car dealer network. SANTA ROSA, California (May 25, 2004) - Advanced technology vehicle company ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that it has hired Mrs. Yuan Wang as Manager of Information Systems. Born in China, Mrs. Wang is assisting ZAP in the creation of a Chinese-language website to expand the Company's business plan in China.

Mrs. Wang has been working with ZAP since February administrating ZAP's computer network as well as assisting in the development of a new web site for the Company. Because she is proficient in English and Chinese, ZAP CEO Steve Schneider says she will play an important role in ZAP's business plan.

Last week, ZAP announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with SMART-Automobile LLC to distribute a new 60-MPG city coupe in the United States through its ZAP Automotive Division.
