SANTA ROSA, California (April 30, 2004) Transportation pioneer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP) announced today that Mr. Jackson W. Long has been named as the Corporate General Counsel.

As Corporate General Counsel, Mr. Long is working extensively on regulatory compliance for ZAP's auto sales, having experience working with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. ZAP is working to establish an auto dealer network for advanced technology vehicles, including high-efficiency and environmentally friendly transportation.

April 29, 2004 - Southern California tops the list of the nation's cities and counties most threatened by air pollution, according to the American Lung Association's annual report.

This year, for the first time, the report includes "particle pollution" as well as smog. Particle pollution refers to the microscopic soot-like particles produced by power plant emissions, diesel exhausts, wood burning, and other sources.
