Car-buyers flock to ZAP's auction of SMART Car on eBay

SANTA ROSA, California (December 9, 2004) - Within hours of putting the first legal U.S. SMART Car on eBay, bidders rushed to become the first to own one, said U.S. distributor ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP).

ZAP has received $2.98 million in purchase orders for the fuel-efficient SMART Car since it was unveiled at the San Francisco International Auto Show on November 22, 2004.
