SANTA ROSA, California (September 24, 2003) - Electric transportation pioneer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) today is celebrating nine years in business.

Since September 24, 1994, ZAP has been a leader in marketing personal electric transportation, delivering more than 80,000 electric vehicles to customers in more than 60 countries. Each year, the Northern California company has added to its product catalog and 2003 is no different.

ZAP participated in an advanced transportation vehicle display at the Plaza in downtown Sonoma, California as part of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum.

ZAP Signs Deal with China

SANTA ROSA, California (September 16, 2003) - ZAP (OTCBB:ZAPZ), the Northern California electric vehicle pioneer, announced today it has signed an exclusive agreement to import electric automobiles from China. ZAP believes this to be one of the first times production cars made in China would be imported into the United States.

ZAP has signed an exclusive agreement with Heibao Group Co., Ltd. of China to distribute the new electric car in the United States, Central America and South America. Heibao is privately owned with 3,000 employees. Its 140,000 square foot facility has the capacity to produce 100,000 vehicles per year. One of its subsidiaries, Shandong Heibao Stock Co., Ltd. has been publicly traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange since 1996.

ZAP Acquires Prominent Electric Car Rental Fleet

SANTA ROSA, California (September 10, 2003) - Advanced transportation company ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that it has acquired the most visible electric car rental fleet of its kind in the world.

ZAP plans to rent the fleet of electric rental cars at various locations, featuring two locations on the main Casino strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. CEO Steve Schneider says that ZAP's Marketing Plan emphasizes rentals because customers will have an opportunity to try ZAP's new vehicles as they are introduced.
