ZAP Receives $250,000 Order from Mexico

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (February 18, 2003) –ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that it has accepted a $250,000 purchase order for its new SEASCOOTER(tm) dive propulsion vehicle from a Mexican distributor. ZAP received the $250,000 order last week while attending The Miami Boat Show, the world's largest consumer boat show, where it showcased the SEASCOOTER along with some of its other new products. “Early response for the SEASCOOTER, which the Company first rolled out during the 4th quarter of fiscal 2002 has been tremendous. 2003 will be the first full-year of production, and with summer still four months off, ZAP is adding to its staff to meet the anticipated demand,” said Steve Schneider, CEO of ZAP.
