ZAP Plugs into Auto Sales
SANTA ROSA, California (October 24, 2003) - Officials at ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) and Voltage Vehicles say their new electric cars have sparked sales interest as dealers and consumers catch their first glimpse at industry events around the country.
ZAP CEO Steve Schneider says that its automotive distribution subsidiary Voltage Vehicles has started to receive orders for the new electric cars, which are being introduced today at the annual conference for the Independent Auto Dealers Association of California (www.iadac.org), which runs through Saturday in Reno, Nevada. Schneider added that the cars were shown at a similar event last week in Florida and people were impressed because nothing like this has ever been offered to American consumers before.

SANTA ROSA, California (October 9, 2003) – Michelin's Challenge Bibendum in September showcased a dizzying array of new technology from major automakers, but it was a new car from ZAP® (OTC BB:ZAPZ), a small, public company from Santa Rosa, California, that may have the biggest impact on the industry.

'Too little' oil for global warming
'Too little' oil for global warming
05 October 2003, New Scientist Magazine
Oil and gas will run out too fast for doomsday global warming scenarios to materialise, according to a controversial analysis presented this week at the University of Uppsala in Sweden. The authors warn that all the fuel will be burnt before there is enough carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to realise predictions of melting ice caps and searing temperatures.
Defending their predictions, scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change say they considered a range of estimates of oil and gas reserves, and point out that coal-burning could easily make up the shortfall. But all agree that burning coal would be even worse for the planet.
