SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (January 27, 2003) – ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ) announced today that Who’s Calling will be inviting dealers to enter drawings for ZAP products including a new electric car at the National Automotive Dealer Association (NADA) Convention February 1-4 in San Francisco.

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (January 21, 2002) - Electronic transport developer ZAP announced today that it has hired Mr. James Thomas as Vice President of Sales Operations.

Mr. Thomas brings to ZAP more than 25 years of automotive sales, marketing and operations experience. He began his career with General Motors and has held key management positions with BMW, Volkswagen and Daewoo.

In 1994, Thomas was one of the pioneers of the neighborhood electric vehicle business as an officer of trans2 Corporation, the first NEV available on the market. Later he became instrumental in sales launch of Global Electric Motorcar's (GEM) neighborhood electric vehicles.

TechTV’s ‘Best of CES’ awards recognize innovations in new consumer technology products that debuted at the 2003 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show). A TechTV appointed panel of product evaluators selected winners in each category according to their innovative appeal, usability, usefulness, and affordability. In addition to the 10 category winners, a single product was honored as Best of Show.

ZAP also expects to unveil a new ZAP brand of electronic car that would utilize the new charge technology during Las Vegas’ annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 9-13, which hosts 100,000 annual attendees from 100 countries.
