GEM Steps Up Marketing Programs in California
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 18 -- Global Electric Motorcars, LLC, a DaimlerChrysler (NYSE: DCX) company, is stepping up its marketing efforts in California by launching an expanded rental program aimed at exposing first-time electric vehicle drivers to its GEM cars and turning them into potential buyers.
"Once you drive it, you'll want to buy it," says Ken Montler, president of Global Electric Motorcars (GEM), the world's largest producer of neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs) and the largest U.S. producer of street-legal electric vehicles of any kind. More than 10,000 GEMs are on the roads in the United States.

ZAP Announces Electric Car Rental Program
SEBASTOPOL, California (July 15, 2002) -Working in conjunction with Global Electric Motorcars, LLC, a DaimlerChrysler Company, ZAP (OTCBB: ZAPZ) announced today it will be renting neighborhood electric vehicles throughout California.
ZAP will be soliciting rental agencies and other locations for the program. Neighborhood electric cars are a new category of 25 MPH automobiles designed for short trips in urban areas, planned communities, commercial zones or tourist districts. The smaller, low-speed electric cars are a new alternative in places concerned with air and noise pollution, high fuel prices, traffic congestion or parking shortages.

ZAP Begins Trading Under ZAPZ
SEBASTOPOL, California (July 1, 2002) - ZAP (OTC BB:ZAPZ), formerly (OTC BB:ZAPPQ) announced today that its stock has begun trading on the Over-the-Counter (OTC) Bulletin Board under the new stock symbol of ZAPZ effective July 1, 2002.
According to the OTC Bulletin Board, the symbol change is to indicate that ZAP is no longer under Chapter 11 Reorganization, and that the stock has undergone a reverse stock split.
July 1, 2002, is also the effective date of the Merger between Voltage Vehicles and the RAP Group, Inc., two companies specializing in automotive distribution and marketing.
Voltage Vehicles and the Rap Group, Inc. will operate as fully owned independent subsidiaries of ZAP.
