What exactly makes an electric car, well.. an electric car? If you were to look on the outside of an electric car you might not have any idea it's electric. An electric car is a car powered by an electric motor rather than a gasoline engine. In most cases, electric cars are created by converting a gasoline car. One way to know you are driving an electric car is that you will hear hardly any noise! If you peak under the hood of an electric car you will notice what the differences are: 1. An Electric Motor The gas engine is now an electric motor. 2. A Controller This electric motor gets its power from a controller. 3. Rechargeable Batteries This controller gets its power from a variety of rechargeable batteries. What do you think?
